Cleaner terms
These apply to you as a cleaner or a cleaning company. The customer terms cover the cleaning contract itself, which is between you and them.
You are self-employed
You are not our employee or our worker. You choose which jobs to quote for, what to charge, when you work and how you do it. You handle your own tax, your own insurance and your own equipment.
Commission
We take 15% of the quote. Quote £200 and you receive £170. Nothing is added to the customer’s side, so the price they see is the price you set. The rate that applies to a booking is the one in force when the quote was accepted.
Getting paid
The customer pays before you start and we hold it. It is sent to your bank account when the customer confirms the work, or automatically 24 hours after you mark it finished. If a transfer fails we keep trying and tell you why.
You need a payout account set up through Stripe, who run their own identity and bank checks. Until that is done, work can be booked but nothing can be sent to you.
Documents
Identity, right to work, a DBS check at the level the work needs, and public liability insurance. Each one is recorded with its expiry date. We warn you before one runs out. When one does, you stop being able to quote or be assigned new work; anything already booked stands.
Evidence of the work
You photograph the finished job before you can close it. It exists to protect your payment when a customer disputes the work. It is not a timesheet, it is not shared beyond the customer and our team, and it is not used to rank you.
Where you appear in the list
Your position comes from your rating, the work you have completed, how fast you answer and how far you are from the job. Nobody can pay to be higher. New cleaners are shown a little more often at first, because a list nobody new appears in has no new cleaners in it.
Our team can boost, restrict or hide an account where there is fraud or a serious safety problem. You are told the reason. Anything except a fraud suppression can be appealed, and a person reads the appeal.
Cancelling and no-shows
Up to two days before the work you can hand a job back yourself. The customer is refunded in full and the job goes back on the market. Inside that you cannot drop out on your own — the customer is being charged to cancel at that notice, so you are held to it too. Tell us on the booking and we will find them somebody else at the same price, or refund them.
The other side of that: a customer who cancels inside two days pays you part of what the job would have paid — half within two days, three quarters within twelve hours. We take no commission from it. It reaches you the way a payout does.
Tell the customer as early as you can, through the booking. Repeatedly cancelling accepted work, or not turning up, affects your position in the list and can suspend the account.
Going direct
A customer you met here is welcome to book you here again. Taking a customer off the platform to avoid commission, having found them through it, ends the account.
Leaving
You can close your account whenever you like once your booked work is finished and paid. We keep the financial records we are required to keep, and nothing else.
