Credit and referrals

It is not money

Credit cannot be withdrawn, transferred to somebody else, sold, or paid to a cleaner. It comes off a booking and that is the only thing it does. The cleaner is always paid their full quote: the discount is ours, not theirs.

How much comes off

Up to a tenth of a booking’s total, automatically, without a code. If you have more credit than that, the rest stays where it is for next time.

It expires

Each amount lasts twelve months from the day it was earned. When you spend credit, the oldest amount goes first, so nothing expires while newer credit is spent ahead of it. Every amount and its expiry date is on your credit statement.

Referrals

Share your code. Somebody who joins with it gets welcome credit after their first booking is completed, and you earn 5% of each of their first four bookings, as credit.

Nothing is earned until the booking is finished and the payment is released. A cancelled or refunded booking earns nothing, and a reward already granted on a booking that is later refunded is reversed.

A referral stops earning two years after the introduction, whether or not those four bookings happened. It is a thank you for bringing somebody, not a share of their account.

You are never told which of your contacts booked, or what their booking was worth. They are never told who referred them.

Referring yourself does not work

A referral is not attributed when the two accounts share a property, a payment method or a device. This is checked when the reward would be granted, not only when the code is used.

The ledger cannot be edited

Every grant, redemption, expiry and reversal is appended to your credit statement and nothing is ever changed or deleted, by anybody, including us. A correction is a new entry with a reason attached to the person who made it.

If we get it wrong

Tell us. A member of our team can add credit, and when they do, their name and their reason are on the entry.

Fraud

Credit earned through invented accounts, invented bookings or a stolen card is reversed and the account is closed. That is the only circumstance in which credit is taken away without being spent or expiring.
